Daily budget is a guardrail
Campaign daily budget caps spend per day per campaign. It does not replace keyword-level profit logic—but prevents one tier from eating the account.
Suggested split
- Brand — enough to never cap out on your name (often smallest % spend, never starved)
- Category — majority of budget
- Competitor — hard small cap
- Discovery — fixed low cap; never auto-scale
CPT vs daily budget trap
Apple rejects or throttles when max CPT exceeds campaign daily budget. On low discovery budgets (~$5–20/day), keep CPT at or below that ceiling.
